As we begin to return to normalcy, there are plenty of ongoing cares. I received my first dose of vaccine yesterday and will need several days to feel better again.
Reminders that all of life is sacred and holy seem especially important to have within reach right now. I hope you will pin encouragement to spread more peace and soulful beauty through our land.
Bedroom Décor Ideas From My Bedroom
In my own bedroom, coastal cottage design ingredients read rustic yet airy.
The color palette is atmospheric and marshmallow-y cloud-like with soothing whites, light grey and a touch of pale pink.
Natural elements include white oak hardwood flooring and knotty alder doors.

The mix of metals in the bedroom ushers in a more casual, laid back, unfussy mood. While lamps, cabinet knobs, and door hardware is oil rubbed bronze, there are also antiqued brass vintage sconces, a shiny gold made in Sweden vintage chandelier in a closet, and both chrome and antiqued silver finishes in the bath.
It does not feel like too many different finishes, and what is lovely about cottage style, is it is fitting!

The Belgian linen slipcovered chair in our bedroom (RH) was my desk chair in our former home. Smaller scale chairs–even when they are considered 'dining chairs'–can sometimes serve as a lovely accent or reading chair.
This linen quilt has my name all over it…so yummy!

Lately I have toured a few older homes where the bedrooms were small and lacked a closet. Here's a ready-made alternative with coastal cottage good looks which would cost much more for materials and labor to build from scratch.
Obviously, this dreamy hall tree would work beautifully in a mud room or entry too and could be built-in if you're looking for a more custom look.
